International webinars as peer learning spaces
The #ASKnet webinar series in 2023 was designed to strengthen members’ knowledge and skills, enabling them to share what they learn with others. Focused on practical, interactive learning, the webinars gave participants opportunities to learn from experts from Brazil, Zimbabwe and Europe, engage with regional peers, and develop hands-on skills that can be applied in real-world contexts.

OER are a major concept of #ASKnet, and are a great tool for sharing knowledge and skills openly. OER are educational materials shared under public domain, or open licensing. Within #ASKnet a common recurring question is how to use other open source material for their own activities and projects, while still remaining innovative. How to measure the innovation of this ‘reusing, readapting, and recycling’ open educational material, in order to create new innovative material. In the webinar we had an introduction to OER and how to continuously working on and producing these educational resources.
